For more
than 7 days of search and rescue by the Cameron military of the Atlantic coast
of Ambazonia, the Cameroonian Coast Guard confirmed the finding of only two
corpses of the 34 soldiers who disappeared when a military vessel tipped on
Sunday the 16th of July. There were 37 soldiers on board and only
three survived. So far it brings to a total of 3 bodies recovered. 31 soldiers are still missing, presumed dead and
lying about 67m below the sea at Debuncha.
Colonel
Henri Belinga, commander of the Coast Guard sector of the Rapid Intervention
Battalion, for the Cameroon Army complains of that bad weather is hindering
search and rescue efforts.
We have heard no word from the interim government of Ambazonia
about the incident.
That military vessel went down with 37 soldiers on board during
a routine mission on the Bakassi peninsula in the Ndian County of the Ambazonia
territory
This
county is the rich in oil deposits and have attracted confrontations between
Cameroon and Nigeria with Ambazonia being caught up in the middle.
