UN senate to deliberate after briefing on Southern Cameroons/Ambazonian issue

Last night the US Senate had a briefing in Washington DC to hear from both side of the party (Ambazonians and La Republique du Cameroun) citizens from both countries advocating for different agendas made their argument heard in the present of two Maryland senators. Senator Cardin and senator Van Hollen heard from SCACUF, MoRISC, SCNC, was demand for independence and freedom.
These are the discussion that went on in the senate posted by Boh Hubert, learder of MORISC. Posted as received. Note that representative of SCACUF ASHU KiNGSLY NDIP was also present, though name not present in the report.
US Senate Briefing on Cameroons Anglophone Crisis

[8/2, 4:23 PM] Herbert Boh: Panel on the crisis in the Cameroons now underway in Dirksen Senate Building on the US Capitol. Senators absent. Briefing being given to Senate staffer.

[8/2, 4:25 PM] Herbert Boh: Ms. Elsie Awantu, speaking first on behalf of the SCNC. Right now laying down the history of the crisis. Sad that she says, speaking on behalf of the SCNC, that they want to go back to the federation of the 1960s.

[8/2, 4:29 PM] Herbert Boh: Ms. Gisele Exquise Pierce speaking now in her capacity as leader of the hitherto unknown Cameroon Francophone Diaspora. Born in Douala, she admits her eyes were opened by her education at Buea University. Admits it has broken her heart to see Southern Cameroonians mistreated by Francophone Cameroonians. Questions why SC leaders are in jail for calling for justice. Says Francophones are missing a chance to join the movement to bring actual change to Cameroon.

[8/2, 4:33 PM] Herbert Boh: Mr. Ibrahim Djagra Ibrahim, originally from Mora (Far North), speaking now. He is a 2017 President Obama YALI Fellow. His talk is focused on the humanitarian crisis in the northern parts of LRC triggered by Boko Haram terrorists.

[8/2, 4:37 PM] Herbert Boh: Mr. Ibrahim Djagra claims that the ongoing crisis in the Cameroons isn't only an SC crisis. It involves all and he hopes change can come from the Diaspora based in the USA. Most people in Cameroon, he says, "we all want this crisis... trop c'est trop". Makes plain that the claim that the northerners support the regime is false. We need a leader he says who can make this change. Leaves Washington tomorrow for Cameroon and promises that the fight starts once he gets back home to the Cameroons.

[8/2, 4:40 PM] Herbert Boh: Up next is supposed to be Mr. Kennedy Ejacha taking the floor on behalf of the SDF.

[8/2, 4:43 PM] Herbert Boh: Mr. Kennedy Ejacha claims Cameroon used to be one. Claims it's only after World War I that the seed of our division was sown. Calls the 1961 Plebiscite was to reunify Cameroonians.

[8/2, 4:45 PM] Herbert Boh: On moving forward, Mr. Kennedy Ejacha says reverting to the federal constitution of 1961 should be a starting point. Calls on all to go back to the 1961 Constitution which he calls a kumbaya moment.

[8/2, 4:46 PM] Herbert Boh: Mr. Kennedy Ejacha of the SDF claims that the SC Problem is one of bad governance.

[8/2, 4:47 PM] Herbert Boh: According g to Mr. Kennedy Ejacha of the SDF, the problems of the Cameroons will be over if only human rights were respected and bad governance wasn't so commonplace.

[8/2, 4:50 PM] Herbert Boh: Ms. Vyvian Mbanwie of MoRISC now speaking on the importance of independence. Starts by asking show of hand FBI those for independence. Over whelming majority vote for independence. A few hands raise their hands in support of federalism.

[8/2, 4:51 PM] Herbert Boh: Regions don't get independence. America was one of the countries that voted for the independence of Southern Cameroons.

[8/2, 4:53 PM] Herbert Boh: Ms. Mbanwie makes clear that the UN Resolution 1541 allowed for peaceful separation.

[8/2, 4:58 PM] Herbert Boh: Ms. Mbanwie: "The people of SC are here today to let good people of Americans know that we will proclaim our independence on 1st October 2017. LRC will come down on us to kill us with the arms America gives them to fight Boko Haram. We won't be frightened. The USA needs to remember what it said in 1994 after the Rwanda Genocide when you promised you won't let another genocide happen."

[8/2, 4:59 PM] Herbert Boh: Ms. Mbanwie did the best job on behalf of our independence!

[8/2, 5:13 PM] Herbert Boh: Chairman Elvis Kometa takes the floor as part of a very few people to speak on the Q&A section but fails to take the opportunity to correct the fact that the SCNC is for independence, not federalism. Session now closed. The Restorationists just won a major battle on the floor on this Senate Hall. Federalists have some wounds to lick.

The event was put together by Sylvie Bello of the Cameroon American Council.

Congratulations Sylvie Bello! Great Job! Well done indeed...

Note: Ntumfoyn Boh Herbert  (Yindo Toh) is the Spokesperson of MoRISC, Movement for the Restoration of the Independence of Southern Cameroons.
